41 YEARS LATER NEW BRAHMA KUMARIS CENTRE OPENS IN LEICESTER

Harmony House at Ross Walk is set to open on Saturday 20th September at 11am.

IMG_2012 The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, UK (BKWSU, UK) has been established in Leicester since 1973 as a spiritual centre, working alongside other community groups, to promote peace and harmony in daily life, but now BKWSU, UK is set to have a new centre in the city.

Brahma Kumaris are individuals of all ages and backgrounds, who regularly attend classes now offered by a network of organisationsin over 100 countries. Their humble beginnings began in a small town house off Melton Road, run by a family who were the first to practise Raja Yoga Meditation. The family’s desire to share their experience, led to them opening up their own home for the study of spiritual values.

Ramanbhai Patel, Pioneer of the Leicester centre, shares his experience of helping others:  “I have a great feeling of happiness seeing the transformation in other people’s lives, it’s life changing”.

The new meditation centre, Harmony House at Ross Walk, is set to open on Saturday 20th September at 11am. The purpose built facility spans over 20,000 square feet in size and is surrounded with open grounds overlooking the River Soar and the National Space Centre. All activities are offered free of charge.

With over 100 active volunteers, the opening will be attended by Assistant City Mayor Councillor Manjula Sood alongside the Lord Mayor Councillor John Thomas and Right Honorable Baroness Verma. There will also be a variety of cultural performances and entertainment with BKWSU members attending from all over the world.

IMG_6493After many years of expansion and community service, the new meditation centre, Harmony House will offers people of all backgrounds an opportunity to awaken their inner power and potential and learn a range of spiritual skills through a variety of educational programmes and special events facilitating self-development and personal change.

The development of Harmony House will ensure the togetherness of the community and members. Sister Jayanti, Director of the Brahma Kumaris for Europe & Middle East shares:“Harmony House is a place where each one can feel that their natural intrinsic quality is that of goodness, peace, love and truth.”
