Saturday’s event was a celebration of Leicester City’s tremendous victory, and as well as getting to meet Leicester City’s manager, Mr Vaz and his guests got to see the Premier League Trophy.

Before the tea party Mr Ranieri, Ms Whelan and their families toured Number 10, with the permission of the Prime Minister.

The 85 party guests got to enjoy the sunshine on the House of Commons terrace, overlooking the River Thames with tea, sandwiches and cake. Guests could also help raise money for Silver Star, the diabetes charity Mr Vaz founded in 2007, by taking part in a raffle.

Prizes for the raffle included House of Commons whiskey and chocolate and a giant teddy bear.
