FROM LEICESTER TO FILM CITY, NOIDA ‘SINGING POLICEMAN’ SHINES IN INDIA

Attracting a gathering of over two hundred people, ‘Singing Policeman’ Kulbinder Rai was welcomed to the prestigious Marwah Studios in Film City, Noida, for the official launch of his debut Hindi single ‘Kabhi Nazar’.

Having released two albums and three singles in the past, Kulbinder, a Punjabi folk singer based in Leicester, decided to debut his Hindi single and launch his full time career in music in India.

 

Entering the press conference to an incredible round of applause, Kulbinder, was led towards the stage for the traditional diya (candle) lighting ceremony; to symbolise the start of his new musical journey, before unveiling his new Hindi single to the audience.

 

Sandeep Marwah, Founder & Managing Director of Marwah Studios shared: “It’s an honour to have Kulbinder Rai here at the studios, we’ve had a brilliant launch of his new CD and we look forward to his upcoming projects”.

 

From talented film students to esteemed guests, the room was filled with excitement, as the audience were treated to an exclusive thirty minute singing performance as Kulbinder took to the stage, inviting his guests to stand up, dance and enjoy the music.

The local media also showed their support and were present at the press conference, capturing the launch of Kulbinder’s new single ‘Kabhi Nazar’ and as he was presented with a membership to the exclusive International Film & Television Club.

 

Speaking from the CD launch ceremony Kulbinder shared: “It has been absolutely fantastic, much more than I expected, from the launch to the press conference, it was great to see people dancing as I performed, it was like another dream come true”.

 

Through his passion for music, Kulbinder Rai has supported many charity and community events to fundraise through his singing in the UK, attracting a wide range of people, with both Asian and non-Asian backgrounds, who appreciate the international language of the music.

 

Also present was Romail Gulzar, Managing Editor of Pukaar News, who revealed: “It is a wonderful opportunity for Kulbinder Rai to launch his debut Hindi single here at Marwah Studios, the support and appreciation has been immense”.
