The world premiere of a new musical about the life of the man who created Peter Pan will open at Curve Theatre later this month. The theatre is bringing the 7 million pound production entitled “Finding Neverland” to Leicester, which is produced by Academy and Tony Award-winner Harvey Weinstein, producer of the the much-loved feature film Shakespeare in Love and musicals The Producers and Billy Elliot the Musical.
He chose the Curve theatre because of its “outstanding technical facilities” which have allowed them to build cars and pirate ships which will fly across the stage.
It is Adapted from the Oscar-winning film Finding Neverland starring Johnny Depp. The cast of the production is led by West End stars Julian Ovenden and Rosalie Craig.
