“absolutely tremendous, can I just say Leicester is a premier city with a premier city, Tigers, Leicester City, Richard III, Kasabian, what more could you want”

“Brilliant, it was out of this world, it was the best concert ever, they are so great at performing”

Coinciding with the band’s tenth anniversary, Kasabian’s homecoming gig stayed true to their latest album, 48:13, and saw the boys perform early hits and new tracks while offering fans never before seen visuals.

It has been a decade since the release of their first album, self-titled Kasabian, and the homecoming concert roughly marks this ten year anniversary. Tom forms one quarter of the rock band, along with guitarist and backing vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, drummer Ian Mathews, and bassist Chris Edwards. Hailing from Leicester, and still currently living in the city, Mr Meighan was clearly jubilant about performing in front of his home crowd: “I think it’s exciting for the city because we come from here. We’ve not done anything big before in Leicester, but we’ve always wanted to do this.”

He added, “We’ve got a good fan base who have grown up with us. I think we are different from other bands because we are true. We’re honest and we don’t try too hard.”
