Leicester Man and Brother Charged with Murder of Missing Coventry Woman

Police investigating the disappearance of missing woman Sameena Imam, have charged two brothers with her murder.

David Cooper, aged 38, of Hughenden Drive, Leicester and Roger Cooper, aged 40, of Tile Hurst Drive, Coventry were charged by officers on Friday 9 January.

 

The pair were arrested on 7 January at their home addresses on suspicion of murder. Searches at both properties have now taken place.

Despite extensive searches by specialist police officers, Sameena Imam, aged 34 who lives in Cardiff, has not been seen since 24 December, at her work address of Costco, Torrington Avenue, where she was a marketing manager.

 

Officers located her black BMW one series on 4 January in Overstone Road, Luton.

 

Detective Superintendent Mark Payne is leading the investigation into Sameena’s disappearance, said, “This is a significant development in our inquiry and our thoughts are with Sameena’s family and friends at this time.

 

“Our investigation is still very much ongoing and I would like to thank all those who have called with information so far to help find Sameena.

 

“We remain keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have information about Sameena’s disappearance and I would urge them to call us on 101 or the anonymous charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111″.
