In the lead up to the release of Jurassic World, two film clubs have joined forces and are giving Leicester film fans a roaring treat by showing the 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park, at a dinosaur themed event.
On June 10, Midlands Movies and the Firebug Film Club will be showing the Steven Spielberg classic about cloned dinosaurs at the Firebug on Millstone Lane.
Local filmmakers will also get the chance to screen their own short films and trailers before the main screening. Entertainment with games, audience interaction and food will also be available.
Midlands Movies is a local organisation which promotes new films, movies and documentaries from Hollywood, or local film makers, actors and scriptwriters.
Firebug Film Club is a monthly night of movie double bills and cult screenings upstairs at the Leicester bar.
Mike Sales, editor at Midlands Movies said, “I try to give exposure to the most exciting film talent from around the Midlands”
“This is our first event and working with the equally successful Firebug Film nights will hopefully lead to more of these social cinema screenings.
“We hope the audience will get heavily involved by dressing up and taking part in prize draws and other fun, whilst we will be providing complimentary Jurassic snacks, popcorn and further film surprises”.
