Voting opened at 9am on Tuesday (1 Dec) for the annual Britain’s Favourite Market competition. The market with the most votes will win.

More than 110,000 votes were cast in the competition last year, with winners Ashton-Under-Lyne saying the accolade was a definite boost to business.

Voting is online via the National Association of British Market Authorities. To cast your vote, visit www.nabma.com

People are also being asked to comment on ideas to improve Leicester Market by introducing new lighting and signage, and revamping stalls and retail units.

To have your say, fill in an online survey at https://consultations.leicester.gov.uk/ and www.leicestermarket.co.uk, or pick up a copy from the market’s customer care office.
