Wallace and Gromit Kick off Wrong Trousers Day at the Leicester Royal Infirmary

Popular animated characters Wallace & Gromit visited the Leicester Royal Infirmary today to celebrate 10 years of Wrong Trousers Day by throwing a birthday party.

The duo are inviting residents within the area to join in the celebrations by donating £1 and to wear their most outrageous and funky party trousers on Friday 21st June.

The animated pair brought their brightest party trousers and met with staff and children at the hospital children’s ward.

The funds raised from Wrong Trousers Day will help a wide range of initiatives, including music, art and play therapy, sensory facilities, family accommodation and equipment and respite care for children with life-limiting illnesses in over 87 children’s hospitals around the UK.

Corporate and Events Fundraiser at Wallace & Gromit Children’s Charity, Ellen Camillin says: “Last year over 350,000 people took part in Wrong Trousers Day. This year we want even more to show their support and celebrate this landmark year on Friday 21st June. The event is a great way for people to get together with friends, family and work colleagues and do the right thing for charity by wearing something wrong!”
