GEARING UP FOR FINALS

On Friday 15 September, 50 girls from across the country will battle it out for the Miss Great Britain 2017/18 title. The prestigious sold-out event will take place at Athena, Leicester for the fifth year running.

Prior to the event, each of the girls has invested their time and effort into supporting the two nominated charities, promoting the sponsors, as well as helping to build the brand of Miss Great Britain.

Before the big reveal, the 50 hopefuls will take part in a dazzling fashion wear, swimwear and eveningwear round for their last chance to impress the judging panel.

This year, Miss Great Britain has chosen to support Leicester based mental health charity LAMP and Global’s Make Some Noise. Around £10,000 has so far been raised with the hope of exceeding that on the night through a charity raffle.

Hosting this year’s event is former Miss Great Britain Deone Robertson and presenter Simon Robertson- who will be returning for his third year running.

The glamorous evening will also feature a sumptuous three-course meal and entertainment from Socharo Dance.

Kate Solomons-Freakley, National Director of Miss Great Britain, said: “All of the girls have been working extremely hard and I couldn’t be more proud. We’re very excited to welcome all of our guests to the sold-out event at Athena for the fifth year running.”

Detective Constable and current Miss Milton Keynes Nicola Tomkins said: “Even if I don’t win, I will still continue my duties to fundraise for local charities. Miss Great Britain is a great platform to help others and should be hugely celebrated.”

The winner of Miss Great Britain will receive an abundance of exciting prizes including an all-expenses paid trip to represent GB in an International Final, a £1,000 portfolio shoot at the Fresh Academy and exclusive representation with Kreative Group Model & Event Agency.

Unfortunately, due to illness Miss Leicestershire, Chloe Lake will be unable to take part in tomorrow’s final.
