TWO-YEAR-OLD FALLS FROM WINDOW OF LEICESTER FLAT

An investigation is continuing after a two-year-old boy was reported to have fallen from a flat window in Frog Island, Leicester at the weekend.

The incident happened at around 4.49pm on Saturday (May 21), at Aadams Apartments, Frog Island.

A boy is reported to have fallen outside from a second-storey window of a flat at the premises.

He was taken to hospital, and has since been discharged.

A 23-year-old woman, of Leicester, was arrested on suspicion of neglect on Saturday. She has since been released on police bail.

Yesterday (Sunday), a 24-year-old man, of Solihull, was also arrested on suspicion of neglect. He has since been released on police bail.

Officers from Leicestershire Police are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident and continue to appeal to anyone with any information, who has not yet spoken with police, to make contact.

“We have been speaking with a number of people following the incident as we continue to establish the full circumstances regarding what has happened”, said Detective Inspector Mike Chandler.

“If you were in the area on Saturday afternoon, please think back to anything you saw which could help our enquiries. If you have any information, please make contact with us.”
