DECAPITATED RABBITS AND SPEARED FISH FOUND AT LEICESTERSHIRE PARK

Community anger has been unleashed after a number of decapitated rabbits and deceased fish on spears were found in a Leicestershire beauty spot.

Officers from North West Leicestershire Police have posted about the disturbing occurrences on their social media page together with a picture of one of the mutilated animals, which have been appearing at Donisthorpe Woodland Park.

The image shared, is one of a fish, which has been found near wooden stairs within the park. Several decapitated rabbits have been found floating in the water at the park, which sits in Church Street, Donisthorpe.

It is something which has incited public anger and outrage, as well as a feeling of horror in the community.

“Vile people who do this wicked cruelty against any animal,” wrote one woman online. “What the hell is wrong with some people?!”

“These are the kind of folks that you hear about on serial killer documentaries,” added another. “What else are they capable of?

“I think this is where the really serious stuff starts quite scary really we live around monsters like this.”

The incidents have been reported over the past few weeks, revealed a spokesman for Leicestershire Police, who are looking for people with information to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and ask to speak with PC 237 HOLMES.
