Leicester based arts organisation MBD has created the show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, as part of the One Giant Leap Festival.

This atmospheric and psychedelic look back at the Apollo 11 mission showcases the changing perspective of the astronauts as they look back at the earth from the surface of the moon, and come to understand the fragility of the planet we inhabit.

The 10-minute long film will be shown on a loop from 6:30pm each night and be projected on a screen over 30 metres wide.

During the animation, spectators can also enjoy a soundtrack comprising of original NASA audio from the mission, new music and the speeches of two American presidents who saw the project from impossible idea to a defining historical moment.
